What we are looking for:
We’re searching for our next Portfolio Analyst (Performance Attribution and Measurement) in our London team.
With general supervision, you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting business growth by producing reporting and analysis of portfolio analytics and attribution for the broad range of Invesco’s products, with a focus on equities. The Analyst should have a fundamental understanding of equity, fixed-income, and multi-asset attribution models and be able to provide an explanation of performance and the factors driving performance. The Analyst must possess the ability to articulate responses to all levels within the organization. The position may assist in the development of both current and next generation portfolio analysis for Invesco products.
Among your responsibilities will be:
- The creation, interpretation, and in-depth analysis of performance attribution results
- Build an understanding of the intricacies and management philosophy of the Invesco Solutions products assigned.
- Assist different teams in the reporting and analysis of portfolio and benchmark characteristics.
- Contribute to projects designed to improve the group’s capabilities via new and existing analytical tools that improve the ability to explain performance attribution and characteristics.
- Will need to assess the importance of any given request or problem, manage the flow of information surrounding the item, and ensure accurate resolution.
- Apply quantitative tools to support ad-hoc requests.
- Assist in the oversight and maintenance of portfolio analytics and attribution systems.
What you can bring:
- Experience in portfolio analysis, portfolio analytics, and/or performance measurement is preferred
- Prior experience in Operations, Accounting, or Finance in the securities/investment industry is an advantage
- Strong technology skills including the knowledge of investment analytics/attribution applications (such as FactSet, Aladdin, PORT, Eagle, Barra, etc.) are helpful
- Experience in working with Operations and/or Data Management groups within the Investments industry is preferred
- Programming skills such as VBA, Python, and R are a plus
- Communication, written and interpersonal
- The ability to contribute to a team environment is essential
- Ability to conduct sophisticated analysis and present data in a meaningful way
- Must have the ability to handle several tasks, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact optimally with a variety of individuals, departments, and countries is required
- Open minded, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
