Job Description
Investec are looking for a trade floor desktop support engineer to join the team and provide technical support for the end user estate. This is a fast paced role which will involve shift work and providing high quality support to the front office trading teams. Hybrid work patterns are 4 days in the office, 1 day remote per week. We are looking for someone with key desktop hardware and software support (Microsoft stack) as well as Front Office applications support experience (desirable).
What you will be doing
- Ensure that all emails, calls and walk-ups are logged in the ITSM system for incident/requests/problems.
- Ensure completion of Incident, Request and Task tickets within agreed SLA's.
- Ensure a high level of customer service is delivered to end users and ensuring that Key performance indicators are met.
- Enhance Knowledge Management within the team by documenting tasks, resolution procedures, known errors, system documents, policies/procedures, knowledge base articles and ‘top tips'
- Troubleshooting and resolving front line issues and queries
- Work on adhoc projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Able to work under pressure and keep focus and calm
- Providing support visits to satellite offices around UK (only occasionally, once per quarter for 1 - 2 nights)
What we are looking for
- Microsoft Windows 10 operating system and Microsoft applications – including Office365
- SCCM (Troubleshoot client related issues. Deploy software to laptop/Desktops)
- Preferable exposure to Front Office application set including Bloomberg, Factset, Refinitiv Eikon, Fidessa, 360T and third party/inhouse Excel pricing tools (desirable)
- Citrix support
- Print support and Mobile device support including wireless connectivity
- Experience with IPC Dealerboards and T4 software
- RJ45 network port cabling and testing
- Preferable exposure to Azure AD and cloud based IaaS.
- Understanding of IT Security, network protocols, firewall
- Build and install PCs, laptops, telephone systems, wireless networks and peripheral devices (such as printers, scanners, mobile/smart phones) related to desktop infrastructure.
- Knowledge and experience of best practice in customer service and/or IT service management (deisrable)
- ITIL Foundation Certificate Accreditation (desirable)
