Ipsos’ Audience Measurement Team works on large scale and complex projects for their main client Barb. Barb, founded by the major players in the UK television and advertising industry, is the industry standard for understanding what people watch across all platforms and devices.
As a Graduate Research Executive, you will play a crucial role in handling the day-to-day operations of one of Audience Measurement’s biggest projects. You’ll be core to ensuring seamless delivery of our research and provide clear focus and direction on a daily basis which is vital in order for the team to deliver a true partnership for our client and other contractors.
About the role
Audience measurement is an entrepreneurial divison, looking for highly talented individuals who are interested in being a part of a dynamic and energised team. Our Graduate Research Executives are integral to the success of our business and our clients' businesses.
We have 2 main projects for Barb – the Establishment survey (ES) and panel recruitment. The ES collect statistics about TV equipment and Online entertainment usage which informs the panel design, controls and weights. Our panel recruitment is the main source of maintenance recruitment to the existing panel size – it is essential that there is a healthy panel size in order to be able to deliver key insights.
Within these projects you will
- Complete daily checks of the completeness and accuracy of information for the household being recruited to the panel
- Conduct thorough checks on figures in client reports
- Check and ensure the scripts are updated in line with any changes to the questionnaires, and test before they go live
- Participate in briefing calls and internal meetings to comprehend the progress of the projects and contribute to initiatives to enhance performance
- Be a point of contact for respondent inquiries, taking a proactive approach to understand their queries
- Collaborate closely with supporting teams on project administration, which include respondent incentive arrangement, managing the mailing of invitation letters to respondents, updating materials in cooperation with designers, and preparing invoices to the client
- Check topline data and reports, SPSS, tabulations and data on online portals
- Coordinate internal and external meetings by managing the calendar schedule, sending out invitations and agendas, and documenting meeting notes
About you
- A genuine interest in quantitative market research with a personal interest in understanding what people watch and why they watch it
- Meticulous attention to detail – you thrive in the details to deliver accurate outputs
- High degree of accountability and quality – you take pride in the work that you do and take ownership of what is required in order to delivery high quality work
- Strong time management and organisational skills - you are able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor to suit the specific audience or message
- Excellent hands-on project management skills
- High level of numeracy – not only do you understand numbers and how they apply in a range of situations, you see the greater purpose and true value it could deliver
- Proficient and savvy with MS Office; in particular, Excel and PowerPoint are a must. BONUS if you know your way around SPSS/Survey Reporter!
- Positive thinker with a can do, solution-focused attitude
- Self-motivated and confident with the ability to work independently when required
