The Role

Working as part of the Data & Insights Group, this is a unique 2-year opportunity for talented and enthusiastic Masters graduates to gain hands-on experience in AI related disciplines such as data science, data analytics, machine learning, data strategy, data product development and data governance. You’ll get the best hands on training possible and exposure across all areas of the business to ensure that you have a rounded foundation for a successful ongoing career within media.

You’ll be fully supported working on cutting-edge data products providing meaningful insight into our viewers, our programmes and many other parts of the business to put data at the core of all decision making.

After your induction and initial training, you will get the opportunity to join our different functions to discover how ITV leverages AI and data to contribute to its success. During the programme, you will: 

  • Contribute to designing, developing and productionising data products 
  • Develop your technical skillset by engaging with activities such as coding, model building, productisation of algorithms 
  • Develop your knowledge around cloud-based technologies 
  • Discover the world of media and broadcasting through a hands-on approach

As you progress through the programme, you’ll be assigned data tasks and projects all under the watchful eye of your mentor. At the end of the programme, you will have acquired all the skills necessary for you to independently deliver end to end data products across the ITV business.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills: technical fit, numerical and/or coding skills, problem solving skills, communication skills, collaboration, adaptability, initiative and enthusiasm to learn and contribute.

We are looking for dynamic and driven people with an academic knowledge on machine learning, maths/statistics as well as in programming, preferably in Python. We are looking for those working towards a masters degree in Data Science or equivalently acquired knowledge on Data Science. You’ll have a desire to learn, develop and challenge yourself in a demanding and dynamic workplace.
