ITV Studios Daytime are looking for a talented Junior Creative to join ITV Studios Daytime’s Promos team.
The ITV Studios Daytime Promos slate includes programmes such as; Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning, and Loose Women, programmes which run 52 weeks a year. Alongside our traditional production teams we also have in-house and dedicated Graphics, Post Production, Studio Crew and Support teams, all play an equally important role in ensuring we go to air each and every day.
The role
The role of Junior Creative is to help create campaigns and presentation items across a variety of media. This can involve some or all of the following on any given project: idea generation; copywriting; art direction; directing and editing.
You will already be an established Junior Creative who is looking for their next challenge. You will also work with the Creatives in the department to help implement the ITV Daytime promotional strategy, devising 360 campaigns that are original, on brand and in budget, whilst working with our award winning, in-house team of creatives, producers, editors and motion graphic designers.
The Junior creative is a role where energy and passion for ideas and media is crucial. The job is extremely varied and includes a range of work across the live daytime shows. It necessitates both assisting and managing your own projects, and helping others, as briefed and directed.
The role will stretch and develop new and emerging talent with ITV studios daytime, with opportunities to work with more senior members of the creative team on priority campaigns over the year.
Skills you’ll need
Minimum criteria
- You will need excellent time management and communication skills
- You will be imaginative, innovative, a good copywriter and have a desire to learn all aspects of broadcast advertising
- You will have an innate ability to be able to prioritise workloads effectively, accept constructive feedback at all levels and will be able to cultivate and maintain strong relationships throughout all of ITV
- Above all, you will thrive in a bustling working environment which produces 7.5 hours of live television five days a week, fifty-two weeks of the year.
- Good understanding of production process from start to completion
- Possess an understanding of IT applications and be familiar with non-linear editing systems such as FCP
- Possess and apply a high attention to detail
Other things we’re looking for
Key criteria
- Working closely with directors and helping out the shoot crews and talent team
- Work with producers to source the best external vendors to implement and execute the ideas
- Create effective quick turnaround daily campaign promotions, as well as repacking old trails for different channels (remakes and regens) as and when instructed identify and deliver social and off-air assets as briefed.
- Assist at shoots when necessary; eg. shoot and edit ‘making-of’ reels
- Maintain schedule confidentiality at all times
- Accurate and prompt record keeping of all external source material (clips, music etc.) used in the execution of the work and its clearance
- Share and develop creative ideas with Creatives and/or Creative head as applicable on project reediting or re-concepting as applicable based on feedback
- In addition to the above the Junior Creative will support colleagues in the completion of their tasks
