Our Graduate Development Programme is a structured two-year scheme where we provide the framework, mentoring and experiences to help you maximise your skills and ambitions. On joining our scheme in September 2024, as a Human Factors Graduate, you’ll rapidly gain knowledge of how our company works and the impact that you can have to help us move towards a more connected and sustainable world.
About the opportunity
As a Human Factors Graduate at Jacobs, you will work as part of multi-discipline teams to ensure the requirements of end users are considered within large, complex, high hazard projects. You could make a real difference across exciting opportunities in sectors including Nuclear, Rail, Aviation and Defence. Our experienced and well-respected Human Factors team undertake a wide variety of projects that cover the full design lifecycle from concept through to operation, working with designers, safety specialists, operators and maintainers. You will develop your skills in many different Human Factor techniques including Human Reliability, Human Error, Task Analysis, Human Machine Interface (HMI) design, Safety Culture as well as directly contributing to the decarbonisation of the UK and International energy industries. The team is friendly and supportive and located across the UK, applications will be considered for Warrington and Westlakes (Cumbria) offices.
Here’s what you’ll need
- Be working towards a relevant Degree or Masters level qualification such Human Factors, Ergonomics, Product Design, Psychology or Nuclear Technology.
- A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward.
- Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things.
- You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
