About the role
Primarily to provide engineering support to the Service and Operations team in relation to client requirements.
This support will vary between the various sectors of the business, such as, but not limited to project commissioning or testing activities, client upgrades, client service work, in-house activities, and projects in general.
When not engaged in technical service activities there will be a requirement to provide support to other areas of the business in relation to engineering activities.
They plan, schedule, predict, and manage all the technical tasks of their assigned project to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish.
This position will be required to liaise with any associated team member for the purpose of planning efficiency.
The project engineer will be financially responsible of all deliverables associated with said project and may require site and overseas visits but will be solely dependent on the project or client requirements.
Your key responsibilities will also include
- Provide engineering support to the Service and Operations team, on JFD commercial products, systems, and external client requests.
- Upkeep, preparation and mobilisation of JFD assets and tools required to conduct activities, such as flushing units, PHRF, LSP, general tools and calibration equipment required on a project-by-project basis to fulfil requirements.
- Liaising with clients (office and offshore) to understand their requirements and to ensure the best technical solution is provided.
- Site visits on/offshore to dive support vessels and other client assets as and when required. (Note OGUK Medical and BOSIET will be required)
- Co-ordinate tasks by utilizing engineering, procurement, and production where necessary to meet client demands.
- Responsible for ensuring engineering solutions are provided on time and on budget.
- Sourcing suitable components and materials when required.
- Creation of engineering documentation, work pack, proposals, test procedures, certification, and reports.
- Checking detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation and when required understanding standards to delivery safe and compliant work.
- Adherence to engineering and company standard procedures and processes.

What do you need?
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven mechanical design skills with CAD & SolidWorks software knowledge a distinct advantage.
- Experienced in manufacturing techniques.
- Experience in gas and fluid systems.
- Knowledge of pressure vessel design and standards.
- Knowledge of Dive Systems.
- Knowledge of Lloyds and DNV ships and diving rules.
- Knowledge of industry guidelines such as IMCA.
- Previous project engineering experience would be advantageous.
- Proficient at report writing, spreadsheets and standard Microsoft product suite.
