Your opportunity
Janus Henderson’s approach to ESG and Responsibility focuses on (1) our own corporate responsibility, (2) integrating financially material ESG considerations across most of our investment strategies, and (3) expanding our suite of ESG-focused strategies.
The ESG Partnerships and Processes Trainee will focus on the first two pillars of our Responsibility strategy, working alongside Responsibility team members to support the development, planning, logistics, and maintenance of internal and external relationships, activities, and procedures.
In your role, you will
- Support Corporate Responsibility and Responsible Investing partnerships, including:
- Help plan long-term relationship campaigns with our charitable and community partners
- Help execute on global and local charitable and community events
- Document investor network memberships and related commitments and partnership opportunities
- Support Responsibility processes, including:
- Work with our ESG Strategy and Operations team on creating new or refining existing ESG processes or procedures related to managing risk, oversight, and data
- Analyse process objectives, partnering with stakeholders in and outside of the Responsibility team to create efficient and effective processes
- Improve Responsibility documentation, including capturing meeting minutes
- Work with a team of experienced professionals in the rapidly evolving area of Corporate Responsibility and Responsible Investing
- Receive mentorship from Janus Henderson ESG professionals
- Learn about Responsibility and Janus Henderson’s ESG policies and practices
- Interact with different parts of the Responsibility Team
- Carry out other duties as assigned

- Basic Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to use initiative to deal with issues and to develop strong relationships with other departments
- Perceptive and proactive by nature with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines
