As the Associate Manager in our Global Events Team, you will be responsible for providing direction and overall management of a limited portfolio of events across Europe. You will have the opportunity to manage multiple assigned events from conception to completion with planning, design, and execution. Assist with remaining shows as needed with planning, design, and execution. You'll collaborate with a Global Team(s) Brand, Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and various departments to ensure that the goals for each event are achieved and expectations are exceeded.
What you will do
- Manage the end-to-end execution of global events, ensuring seamless logistics, on-site coordination, and effective communication.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define event goals, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Work closely with the marketing and creative services teams to develop engaging event collateral, promotional materials, and presentations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key industry partners, exhibitors, and event organizers.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including product development, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and maximum impact at events.
- Liaise with international teams and external agencies to ensure consistent brand messaging and execution across different markets.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and analyses to measure the effectiveness of events and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing event outcomes, including ROI, attendee feedback, and key learnings.
- Recommend innovative ideas and strategies to enhance future event experiences and drive business growth.
- Provide on-site support during events, including setup, tear-down, and problem-solving as needed.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in event management, other related field, or commensurate mix of experience and education.
- 1-3 years of experience in event management, preferably within the toy industry or related consumer goods sector.
- Experience in trade show management a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple events at one time.
- Well-organized and responsible with aptitude in problem-solving.
- Must have the ability to work well in a fast-paced and changing environment as an effective multi-tasker.
- Effective managerial skills with the ability to train and inspire a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work cross-functionally, collaboratively, and reciprocally with multiple departments.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, advanced Excel skills is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Google Drive and organization.
- Multilingual a plus.
Working conditions
- Environment: Typically an office environment, will often require outdoors or warehouse environments for events
- Extreme Exposures: Often exposed to loud noises
- Schedule: Requires variable hours, including nights and weekends.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. often
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms and complete repetitive motions frequently
- May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- May occasionally be required to drive
- Travel Required: National or International travel will be required 50% of the time
