We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Assistant to join our team at Jempson’s.

The role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our social media presence, handling website updates, managing bookings, and developing marketing campaigns. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management:
    • Create and manage content for Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, including advertisements, Reels, and posts.
    • Engage with followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
    • Analyse social media metrics and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
  • Website Maintenance:
    • Regularly update the website with news, photos, store closures, job adverts, and other relevant content.
    • Ensure all website content is current, accurate, and engaging.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Reply to Google reviews, maintaining a positive and professional tone.
    • Handle bookings for “Be a Baker” and “See the Bakers at Work” experiences.
    • Manage bread subscription box orders and customer inquiries.
  • Order Management:
    • Process orders from the Jempson’s Gift Shop.
    • Coordinate the preparation and delivery of hampers.
  • Campaign Planning:
    • Develop and plan marketing campaigns for both Jempson’s and Rye Bakery.
    • Focus on key messaging, including value, family business heritage, support for local and artisan businesses, and fresh food offerings.

  • A positive, helpful attitude towards customers and colleagues, with the ability to communicate clearly and convey information accurately.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and implement a marketing plan.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Reliable transportation is required for regular, punctual attendance.
  • Proficiency in script writing and content creation.

Education
