    The Role

    We're seeking a proactive and diligent Administrator to play a vital role in our journey towards net zero. As our Carbon Neutral Roadmap Administrator, you will be directly involved in activities that positively impact our Island’s carbon footprint, contributing to a greener future. Our ideal candidate will be digitally competent with strong attention to detail, enjoy working in a project-based environment and focused on delivering a positive customer experience.

    For the right candidate, this role could provide a sense of purpose, align to environmental values and offer future skills development in digital technology and project management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the administrative activities for several Government of Jersey grant programmes that JE is supporting.
    • Accurately process grant applications and redemptions according to pre-defined criteria.
    • Continuously review administrative processes and systems to improve efficiencies.
    • Report on status of grant applications and redemptions using defined metrics.
    • Prepare monthly reports on performance of incentive schemes and present to key stakeholders.
    • Resolve issues in a timely manner or seek support to resolve.
    • Work independently to manage the orderly electronic filing of information.
    • Ensure data privacy requirements are met.
    • Communicate in a professional manner with colleagues and external stakeholders.
    • Co-ordinate meetings and attend and record actions from meetings where required.
    • Provide ad hoc administrative support as the need arises to the Project Management office across a variety of project related tasks and initiatives.

    Skills Knowledge and Expertise

    • Very strong attention to detail.
    • High level of numerical confidence.
    • Effective communication skills both written and verbal – this role will work closely with external customers and partners.
    • Highly organised, with the ability to work to deadlines, plan and prioritise short- and long-term tasks effectively.
    • Acts with discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
    • Digitally savvy and interested in developing digital capabilities further.
    • Able to build positive relationships with managers and peers.
    • Experience in preparing and presenting reports.
    • Proficient IT skills, using Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point.
    • Familiarity with Office 365 tools such as MS Teams, MS Lists, and MS Forms is desirable. Power Automate and Power BI would be advantageous.
    • Strong customer service mindset.
    • Professional & collaborative.
    • Independent, showing initiative and problem solving ability.
    • Insightful & self-aware.
