You will also receive relevant on the job training.
Within the Commercial Planning and Space & Assortment team, you will gain exposure to a variety of critical commercial functions across the Space & Assortment, and Commercial Planning departments. Including bringing your own insight and ideas for current and future commercial projects and seasonal events, analytical reporting and the delivery of first class communication ensuring that queries, change processes, projects and requests are all actioned efficiently and effectively.
This is an opportunity to influence projects and seasonal events in store and online at Waitrose & Partners; working in and exposure to a broad range of areas such as Marketing, supply chain, product development and own brand. Previously, our placement students have worked on projects such as Brexit, and the high fat & salt legislation.
The role
- Delivery of Commercial projects, applying your academic studies into solving complex business problems. Presenting key findings to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Develop an understanding of the processes required for the routine running of the Space and Commercial Planning departments within the Commercial directorate and the relationships with other key directorates
- Gaining a technical knowledge and supporting key projects within the Commercial Planning and Space teams
- Supporting the Commercial Planner with the trade planning process across Commercial
- Supporting the Secondary Space Performance and Planning Manager with key seasonal and promotional events
- Helping to develop business processes, frameworks and tools within your area, continuously improving them to drive efficiency and effectiveness
About you
To be eligible for this role, you must be studying an undergraduate degree at university. As part of your degree, you will be taking a year out in industry commencing July 2022.
You will currently be studying a degree in business or other numerate subjects e.g. economics, maths, statistics, sciences, geography.
