Our Industrial Placement Programme within the John Lewis Partnership will make you see retail in a new light. Within the Data Analyst team, you will have the opportunity to get fully embedded into the problem solving process which extends from data preprocessing, to defining the modelling best practices and to defining a solution that our stakeholders can leverage. We are looking to provide tangible work experience that will ultimately increase a student’s chances of landing a full time job post University. Through this year in industry you will have the opportunity to translate the skills and knowledge you have learnt from your study, into the workplace, whilst using your support network to develop your understanding of how our business is structured and operates, supporting your studies and gaining valuable experience for your future career.
The role
- Create insight-driven, better informed, customer-centric decisions.
- Operate in a cloud based environment that connects vast data lakes with scalable instances
- Continually learn through the mediums of Hackathons, ring fenced time for learning and autonomy during the problem solving process.
- Receive significant programming experience in Python within the Google Cloud Platform environment
About you
- To be eligible for this role, you must be studying an undergraduate degree at university. As part of your degree, you will be taking a year out in industry commencing July 2022.
- You will be on a numerate and problem solving degree from one of Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physical Sciences or equivalent technical fields.
