    As a Performance and Insight Analyst you will support the Operational activity across various Distribution Centres by working closely with Stakeholders to understand their ways of working, reviewing plans and operational execution and advising on areas of focus.

    You will work with the planning analyst to review future business forecasts and understand the activity drivers that will impact our Distribution Centre operations, building robust daily,weekly and period review processes that allow us to check and adjust our planning and operational approaches.

    You will work closely with Operational managers to coach them in the use of the review documents and help develop the review further and drive actions to improve.

    What else you will be doing

    • Supporting the build of the peak plan, working with the planning analyst to determine the infrastructure requirements, skills and hours required to deliver it. Working with business stakeholders to finalise plans, ensuring the plans are in line with budget and highlighting any exceptions to senior management for review.
    • Running scenario analysis: be able to take a question from the leadership team, and interpret that question into a piece of analysis, building the assumptions and data, creating the outputs and drawing out the insight for presentation back to leaders.
    • Own business processes, frameworks and tools within your area, continuously improving them to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Leverage insight and internal and external networks to keep abreast of key customer requirements, market conditions and trends, including technological advancements.
    • Have a clear understanding of the financial budgets and our performance against them.
    • Set clear intent, direction and guardrails to achieve outcomes, aligned to the Partnership strategy.
    • Enable Partners to have a voice in our business.

    What else you should know

    Location: Milton Keynes and Northampton, supporting MP3, Blakelands, Northampton Brackmills, Northampton Grange Park. (can be based on any site with travel between)

    What you will need

    • Ability to work with Google Sheets and/or Excel, using a range of formulas including sumifs, importrange, array formulas. Ability to build models with inputs, assumptions, calculations and outputs from scratch.
    • A proven track record of working collaboratively with others and an ability to persuade others when required.
    • Ability to understand and articulate a process. Ability to interrogate data and processes: ask why in an appropriate way.

    What else you can bring

    • Experience in a Distribution Centre with an ecommerce pick, pack and despatch capability
    • Experience using a Warehouse Management System to run queries.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    As a Performance and Insight Analyst you will work closely with planning and operations to understand historical performance and determine opportunities to improve; balancing cost and service appropriately.

    You will review the performance in terms of productivity and forecast accuracy covering multi-million pound spend across 5 distribution centres, covering Replenishment to our Branches (John Lewis Stores), 2 person home delivery and 1 person online fulfilment.

    You will also drive our future ways of working through preparing scenario analyses and giving insight to operational Partners to make decisions.
