What is the job?
You will be working in the Research & Development department which specializes in the development of automatic fire detection products for buildings. Our high technology products include control panels and fire detectors which combine hardware and software to protect people and buildings from the risk of fire.
You will join a team of software engineers and gain experience in one or more of these skills:
- Develop Embedded Software on microcontrollers using C++
- Develop Desktop applications development using Object Oriented Programming with C++/C# in a .NET (Windows) environment or
- Develop mobile applications.
- Develop Embedded Software development using C/C++ in an embedded Linux environment
- Plan and conduct design qualification testing – Prove that it works!
- Liaise with other departments including Hardware Engineers, Draftsmen, Technical Authors, Software Quality Assurance, Production and Test Engineering
What you need
- Studying a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, or related subjects
- Ability to develop software in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, etc.
- Knowledge or experience of using a version control system such as GitHub
