The Supply Chain Development Program is a 2-year program that develops recent college graduates into future leaders of Johnson Controls (JCI). During the 2-year commitment, individuals spend 6 months in each of 4 rotations in order to gain an overall understanding of the material control, lean methodologies, manufacturing, and data analytics as well as gain invaluable exposure to various business models and functions within the company.
Rotations are located within Europe, with expectations to relocate every 6 months to obtain experience at our Distributions Centers and Manufacturing Facilities. Employees are encouraged to take on additional work outside of their day-to-day responsibilities to gain further knowledge and increase their network within the company. Training and development opportunities will be provided and aligned with the appropriate rotations.
The program is managed by a steering team of materials, procurement, quality, manufacturing, and logistics leaders from within the company. At the end of the 2-year assignment, employees along with the steering team work to find employees their post-graduation role within Materials, Procurement and Operations with the intent for accelerated growth in their career.
How you will do it
- Seek to learn and develop understanding of cross functional Supply Chain and Operations from assignment teams and leaders.
- Leverage Voice of Customer, Data Collection and Analysis with the intent to deliver continuous improvement and sustainability.
- Generate in a timely manner analysis to support decisions that generate efficiencies and simplification in scheduling and operations.
- Establish and manage databases or information with data integrity to develop analysis that enable materials control, scheduling decisions, supplier performance, and other functional KPIs.
- Maintain effective working relationship and communication with all departments, takes advantage of networking opportunities.
- Learn the JCMS (Johnson Controls Management System) maturity model and support plant in meeting standards and improvements.
- Effectively demonstrate an understanding of how Supply Chain activities impact Revenue Capture, Margin Expansion (Savings) and Cash Flow.
What we look for
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Economics, or Business Management/Administration
- The ability to relocate across EMEA for each assignment (4 rotations, 6 months each assignment)
- Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software with strong excel skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
- Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
- Normal mechanical and analytical ability is a must with knowledge of statistical techniques and problem resolution.
