    Position Summary

    As an IT placement student in our business you could work in 3 different areas:

    • Portfolio and Project Office – Consumer Health EMEA
    • Supply Chain
    • Business Technology

    PPO Placement: Consumer Health EMEA

    The IT Portfolio and Project Analyst Placement will work within our Consumer Health IT Portfolio and Project office (PPO) supporting the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) region.  The successful candidate will work alongside the Portfolio and Project Office manager to drive effective and efficient project management through the application of standard tools and processes, ultimately with the goal of improving project management and enabling the shift to agile ways of working. 

    Working mainly virtually with teams and stakeholders around the world, you will have exposure to a wide variety of projects and have the opportunity to build relationships across a broad range of project teams, providing training and coaching to project managers to ensure they are set up for success. You will be responsible for ensuring that project teams are utilizing the processes and tools to effectively manage scope, schedule, financials and resources.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a thorough immersion into the project management field within the IT space and will require someone who can demonstrate strong communication and personable skills to engage with key stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.

    Supply Chain

    The IT Portfolio and Project Analyst Placement will work within our ERP Product Line Team which run’s all the ERP’s for consumer manufacturing sites across EMEA and North America. The successful candidate will work alongside the ERP Product Line Sr Manager to drive effective and efficient project management through the application of standard tools and processes, ultimately with the goal of improving project management and enabling the shift to agile ways of working. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the full end to end process of manufacturing Johnson and Johnson Consumer Products which equates to sales of over $11Billion per year through these ERP systems.

    Business Technology

    The Business Technology Placement will work with the Business Technology Leader (BTL) in the EMEA  region on projects that enable a more smart, productive and collaborative way of working within the Consumer Health organisation. In this role you will work closely with business partners to drive strategic business outcomes through effective utilisation of technology; gaining exposure to organisation tools and processes over the placement year. The successful candidate will need to couple both technical and interpersonal skills to work within a team and enable successful delivery and adoption of technology solutions and processes. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands on experience within a technology role and help drive agile ways of working at Johnson & Johnson.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Learning about the project management discipline and associated tools (J&J project management tool, MS Project, Tableau, LeanKit, JIRA)
    • Assisting the ERP Product team with on-boarding new projects onto the J&J project management tool
    • Managing the monthly ERP Product Line newsletters/reports in line with the J&J project management communication strategy
    • Supporting project teams with ad hoc questions/queries regarding the J&J project management tool and process
    • Assisting project team in their agile execution and delivery of projects.
    • Proactively suggesting ways to improve the effectiveness of the J&J project management tools and process
    • Assisting support teams in troubleshooting applications in subject matter areas
    • Effectively communicating with users, stakeholders and ERP Product Line Leadership

    Qualifications

    Requirements for the role

    • 2 years of degree level study completed
    • A minimum of 2:1 achieved in first year of study
    • IT, IT related or Management degrees preferred
    • Project management experience, using formal project management methodology, techniques and tools is an advantage but not required
