You’ll be in a fast-paced omnichannel retail environment where no two days will ever be the same…
You will be assisting the buying team with bringing to market a curated range of third-party baby gifts, toys and nursery products. As part of our busy, but super-friendly branded buying team, you will be responsible for providing essential admin support to help ensure the smooth-running process of managing product information, orders and delivery data and systems.
This is an admin focussed role to support the buyers which will give the right candidate an excellent opportunity to learn how a commercial yet innovative buying team functions within a dynamic and friendly atmosphere.

A day in the life
- Compiling and maintaining in house spreadsheets accurately
- Ensuring all new items and purchase orders are correctly created on the system
- Ensuring all new suppliers are correctly set up on the system.
- Assisting in compiling and maintaining range plans, costings & margin spreadsheets.
- Ensuring the critical path is on schedule and that the system is accurate at all times
- Working with branded stock controller to ensure delivery schedules are up to date – tracking deliveries and dealing with stock queries.
- Speaking with 3rd party suppliers to ensure deliveries are on track.
- Checking invoices and packing lists and querying/approving as necessary
- Liaising with merchandising and supply chain regarding expected delivery dates
- Sample management- requesting and chasing samples for review each season, logging, organising and returning as required.
- Competitive shopping and analysis- producing competitor range and price analysis as needed.
- Organising sampling for photographic shoots
- Assisting in preparation of photoshoots
- Helping to identify new suppliers online or at trade fairs.
- Supporting the buyer to ensure all product information and supplier imagery is collated to schedule and distributed to the business effectively.
- Proofing of website and catalogues as necessary.
- Other ad hoc duties as required
What we look for in you
The ideal candidate could be a recent graduate or someone in a similar role looking for their next challenge but must have proven experience to demonstrate good organisational skills, have a strong grasp on systems and processes and keen attention to detail. You will be a strong communicator and have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience to demonstrate your amazing organisational skills
- Ability to work with systems and processes
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written skills
- Ability to get things done and improvise as required with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Good computer skills – MS office package, ability to learn in house programs, database experience and strong excel skills.
- Ability to prioritise and work in a fast paced, whilst friendly environment
- Seeing that you will never miss a trick and have great attention to detail
- Taking responsibility of your own workload and juggling priorities
- Ideally experience of working with 3rd party brands in a buying office or similar environment, but not essential.
