    At JoJo our Nursery team are on the lookout for a Buying Admin Assistant, a role where you can confidently assist the Assistant Buyer and Buyer to help ensure the smooth-running process of developing, purchasing and bringing to market JoJo own brand products. Working closely with the other members of the buying and wider design team this role helps ensure goods are developed and then produced to schedule, to target costings and to the quality standard expected.

    A peek into your daily adventures

    Purchase orders and production

    • Assisting in the maintenance of accurate data on the system and our in-house spreadsheets.
    • Ensuring all new items and purchase orders are correctly created on the system.
    • Gathering product attributes & additional data in a timely manner and ensuring uploaded onto portal correctly.
    • Working with suppliers to understand their cut off dates. Placing and confirming purchase orders, ensuring no delays, and maintaining shipping schedules with suppliers.
    • Updating delivery schedule and ensuring that the system is accurate at all times.
    • With the support of the Assistant buyer, setting up the delivery critical path and ensuring delivery is on schedule and that the system is accurate at all times.
    • Liaising with merchandising / supply chain and technical teams regarding any delivery or QC issues and action as necessary.
    • Checking product barcodes and resolving barcode issues.
    • Gathering data from suppliers and capturing the information in a clear and simple way for buying team to use.
    • Assisting in onboarding and setting up new suppliers on the system ensuring they are up to speed with our working requirements and carton labelling etc.
    • Supporting the Assistant Buyer with supplier communication to achieve best outcomes.
    • Producing retail price competitive shops to assist timely decision making.
    • Attending meetings and presenting comp shops if required to the wider team during the weekly trading meetings.
    • Attending reviews to support Buyer if required, capture minutes and ensure actions followed up.
    • Supporting the Assistant Buyer to produce key team visual and data led information such as sales, best to worst reports, and miniscales and helping maintain key product information files.
    • Logging samples and submissions as required and ensuring sample areas are tidy and organised at all times.
    • Assisting in preparation of photoshoots, building samples and assisting on photoshoot if required.
    • Chase suppliers to deliver shipment samples on time to meet critical path dates.
    • Helping the Assistant buyer review shipment samples with QA in a timely manner to ensure they are of required standard, have relevant testing and shipment is confirmed on time.
    • Assisting the assistant buyer and packaging coordinator in the packaging design process. Chasing cutters from suppliers, liaising with suppliers to ensure critical path is maintained and helping proof when appropriate.
    • Supporting the Assistant Buyer to accurately collate information for web and wider business.
    • Proofing the website at the start and throughout the season to ensure all lines are live, in the correct category with the correct image and copy.
    • Ensure new products are correctly attributed to ensure the website is correct

    • Experience demonstrating your amazing organisational skills.
    • Ability to work with systems and processes effectively.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
    • Excellent communication, both verbal and written skills
    • Ability to get things done and improvise as required with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to be an efficient, multi-tasking, and reliable team member who, with guidance, can be responsible for their own priorities and workload.
