    As the Marketing Executive you will collaborate with the other members of the Digital Marketing, Communications and Creative Services team to contribute to the delivery of the overall marketing plan. This role is responsible for the successful development, implementation of multiple marketing campaigns, from conception to completion and monitoring progress & performance to ensure all activations are tracked to demonstrate ROI. Our employees are seen as trusted advisors on all marketing communications matters.

    The role

    Reporting to the PR and Marketing Manager, your role involves being part of the marketing team and will work closely with NEXT PLC, E-Commerce/ Digital Marketing, Retail, Buying and Merchandising teams.

    You will specifically support the retail channel as part of the wider business omni-channel strategy and will have a customer first approach. You will connect across all departments, including but not limited to, product, merchandising, ecommerce, graphics, retail, operations, and NEXT PLC. This role is responsible for the successful development, implementation, and analysis of all omni-channel marketing campaigns, local marketing initiatives, partnerships, and ad hoc tactical marketing activity as required. Ensuring that all activity is on brand, reflects the company marketing strategy, and is created to maximise return on investment.

    Your purpose is to raise awareness of the brand through our store portfolio within the local community. You will work to promote the stores in a way that enhances the customer experience, excites, inspires and engages them.

    You will build strong relationships with the store managers and teams. You will have a genuine passion for our local communities and will actively contribute to the promotion and development of brand awareness overall.

    You will be responsible for

     Marketing Campaigns

    • Support the Marketing Manager to define the marketing and communications calendar in support of product trade marketing and brand campaigns, integrated across all customer touchpoint channels for the UK and rest of the world, with a retail focus.
    • Own the communication and campaign management of all licensee campaigns, including Peter Rabbit, The Gruffalo, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and future partnerships.
    • Create and manage campaign and activation timelines and deadlines.
    • Ensure all relevant JoJo departments are briefed on time.
    • Ensure all collateral is accurate and in live with the marketing budget.
    • Work with NEXT PLC to deliver post campaign analysis on all campaigns including creating data reports, looking at store and customer feedback, sales, and ROI, interpret results and provide useful and actionable recommendations.
    • Create communications with the store operations, proposing new processes, documenting results, and capturing all performance to help guide future initiatives.
    • Brief the creative design team for any necessary collateral and POS relating to store-based marketing activity.
    • Function as the key point of contact for any local seasonal event requests and roll out of any Brand (Christmas marketing activity / National or local holiday / seasonal holiday or cultural calendar activities that are on brand and appropriate.
    • Be the main point of contact for all retail team and stores for marketing support.
    • Be the main point of contact to support our international and partnership marketing growth.
    • Prepare detailed briefs to ensure all stakeholders and relevant departments are briefed on time and know the deliverables, including working with graphics on brand assets and POS.
    • Work with the Creative Services teams to create on-brand assets and POS.
    • Organising and managing the briefing of content and assets that are retail and community specific into NEXT PLC in line with the marketing calendar and deadlines.
    • Develop and deliver customer communications plan, optimising customer touchpoints supporting omni-channel goals.

    Marketing Events

    • Develop and execute an events marketing plan aligned to retail and digital priorities and events that are on-brand and are tailored to the JoJo customer.
    • Prepare detailed briefs so that all stakeholders clearly know what to do and when.
    • Create and manage the timeline.
    • Source relevant partners to “be the expert” and contribute to collateral and goody bags.
    • Work with graphics to create on brand assets and POS.
    • Ensure all collateral is accurate and on budget.
    • Develop and deliver a communications plan, optimising customer touchpoints – POS, email, PPC, Social, Web etc.
    • Agree KPI’s and deliver post campaign analysis on all events, looking at store and customer feedback, sales, ROI, and lifetime value. Interpret results and provide useful and actionable recommendations.

    B2B Gift Cards

    • Manage day-to-day management of B2B gift card programme consulting with the graphics team to produce required creative assets to deadlines.
    • Communicate with all key stakeholders on B2B Gift Card business opportunties and overall performance.

    Ad hoc marketing activity

    • Develop and execute ad hoc marketing campaigns e.g., store openings and local events.
    • Recommend ad hoc campaigns that fit a particular business requirement – e.g., boost sales in a particular region.
    • Support with the development of the store content hub on-line.
    • Store Content Hub updates including identifying suitable partners for competitions.
    • Owning a partnerships calendar for in store activity that aligns with the wider marketing calendar.
    • Working with internal JoJo teams to manage admin for brand partnerships.
    • Representing the marketing team as part of internal forums.

     And you will be accountable for

    • Supporting the Marketing Assistant in their assistance with marketing campaigns and activations.
    • Ensuring that key dates for all activity are met.
    • Ensuring all teams and key stakeholders are briefed clearly and on time.
    • Reporting all results back to the business in a timely manner.
    • Creative accuracy including copy, images, and all content.

    • Demonstrable experience in planning and implementing successful marketing activations across multiple product categories and functions.
    • Good understanding and interest in omni-channel landscape and how it is changing.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
    • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines.
