    Main purpose of the role

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Architectural Assistant/Graduate Architectural Technologist to join us as part of our Group Technical Department, based from our Doncaster head office with agile working.

    Reporting to the Design Manager, the main purpose of the Group Architectural Assistant is to support the Design Manager and wider group Technical Development team to produce and maintain the standard house type portfolio, standard details, and associated design standards in a timely, high quality and commercially considerate manner.

    This role would be particularly suited to an Architectural Assistant or graduate Architectural Technologist looking for a career in the new build residential sector.

    The main duties of the Group Architectural Assistant will be setting Keepmoat group design standards, production of design guidance and performing design review, including standard house type design. They will also get involved with the development of fully coordinated 3D house type models to support digital construction objectives (Revit), assisting the Design Manager in performing an advisory design role for operating regions and bid teams.

    They will also assist in providing central technical support for the operating regions on a day-to-day basis, supporting in design administration tasks as required and ensuring the quality of architectural information provided both internally and externally is of the highest standards.

    Skills, knowledge & experience

    We are looking for an individual who embodies our Keepmoat values:

    • They will be passionate about architecture and design with an interest in housebuilder residential projects.
    • Collaborative, confident and enthusiastic, with the ability to work alone and as part of a team, with a professional attitude and approach to their work.
    • They will approach work in a straightforward manner, possessing excellent organisational and communication skills (both written and verbal) and attention to detail.
    • Creative, with an eye for design and the ability to communicate well both in writing and verbally and experience of Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Revit, and AutoCAD software.

    Education & qualifications

    Essential

    • RIBA Part 1 / degree in architectural technology or similar related subject
    • A willingness to undertake continuous professional development in the role

    Desirable

    • Autodesk Revit certification
