You will be part of a team with the Vision to become the most trusted Packaging team in the industry by delivering business objectives and our Sustainable Packaging Strategy focussing on Remove, Reduce, Re-use, and Re-design of our packaging.
You will be working as part of both an exciting Research and Development function and a Cross- Functional Packaging End to End Team you will support a pipeline of Packaging Initiatives from idea to execution. This will include laboratory testing, prototyping, factory trials, monitoring launch production and reviewing in-market performance.
You will also support the Kelloggs European R&D function coordinating, collating, and maintaining system specifications using state of the art business platforms.
You will collaborate in the execution of regional expansion and artwork initiatives using our internal PLM and SKU2M system.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build experience and knowledge based on a structured training programme and with expanding responsibilities as that knowledge and experience grows.
Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing
- Analyses data and applies statistical methodologies to establish recommendations and specifications.
- Supports plant trials and testing to validate recommendations.
- Reports findings, communicates risks, and develops solutions.
- Follows all Kellogg’s processes for packaging & product design.
- Ensures the Product Specification system is correctly used to establish accurate product data and specifications.
- Maintains SAP based specification system including populating packaging specifications and final product recipes and data.
- Co-ordinates with suppliers in order to ensure new specification information is supplied promptly and accurately.
- Analyse data, generates reports and instigates corrective actions for the Specification system.
- Supports other members of the team in the execution of their project activities within the Specification system
- Execute 1A initiatives in our internal SKU2M system
Your recipe for success
- Essential: Ability to review data and apply statistical methodology to reach conclusions and make recommendations
- Essential: Able to demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Essential: Skilled in use of Microsoft Excel to manipulate data and generate reports.
- Ideally: graduate with a Packaging, Science or Engineering degree.
- Ideally: Experience in SAP based work systems.
- Ideally: Previous experience in R&D environment dealing with specification.
Technical competencies
- Ideally has an understanding of packaging development, materials and processes and components.
- Ideally has an understanding or experience of packaging specifications and quality requirements.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
- Ideally experience of working with SAP.
