As a Graduate Software Developer, you will help solve many of the Energy industry’s challenges using intelligent software. Take on development projects, from start to finish and work on exciting challenges every day. You’ll work with the team to develop, deliver and support a variety of innovative solutions that meet clients’ requirements within time and budget constraints, always aiming to exceed their expectations. Responsibilities you could take on include:
- Getting involved in the full software development lifecycle and being able to make a positive impact on every stage of a project.
- Deliver bespoke software applications using a range of modern technologies and platforms, from desktop applications and services to web and cloud solutions and Microsoft Office automation. And you’ll continue to improve your skills and keep up with the latest technologies.
- Solving logical and algorithmic problems and implementing the solutions into working software features.

Who you are
Practical, driven and self-motivated. We revolve around team working, so you will need to be comfortable working collaboratively and alone. Our Graduates should also embrace diversity, equality and inclusion in everything they do. We would also like candidates to have prior experience in software development, particularly .NET (C# or VB.NET) or Python, as well as SQL and desktop and web development experience. You should be a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar subject area or have equivalent work experience. Other qualities we like to see in you are:
- A passion for technology and solving difficult challenges, whilst striving for high-quality standards and continuous learning and improvement
- Ability to adapt to new environments, domains and changing requirements
- Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills
