We are looking for a Graduate Contracts Officer to join our Construction team in Gloucester.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Graduate Contracts Officer, you'll be working with our Kier Construction team who work with public sector and blue-chip organisations to deliver outstanding construction projects, whilst harnessing our strategic capabilities and digital construction to help clients meet their decarbonisation goals. Your day to day will include:

  • Assisting Contract Officers with the preparation of Permissions to Proceed (PTP) for project tender & framework opportunities
  • Facilitating and supporting Contract Officers in negotiating and resolving terms & conditions. Liaising with internal Kier Departments in connection with parent company guarantees, bonds and insurances and disseminating responses / updating documents accordingly
  • Compiling, checking and tracking contract documents

How does the graduate scheme work?

When you join, you will be enrolled onto our graduate scheme. The programme will take 2 years to complete and has been designed to equip you with the skills you need to excel at Kier and help you achieve professional RICS/CIOB membership or chartership.

What are we looking for?

We do not have any grade requirements, but we do ask that you have a degree in Law or Quantity Surveyor or equivalent. The role of Graduate Contracts Officer is great for you if you:

  • Have a degree in law, quantity surveying or equivalent
  • Can work collaboratively as part of a wider team
  • Punctual, self-motivated, detail-oriented and willing to learn

For this role you'll also have to have completed, or due to complete your degree by September 2024.
