UI/UX Internships 2021
We are looking for talented UI/UX Interns from a variety of backgrounds and interests to join our Kingdom. Our UX Designers work embedded in multi- disciplinary teams on a wide range of experiences, from game teams delivering extraordinary "play" experiences to our millions of players to marketing teams leveraging our owned media products and channels to internal tech teams developing cutting edge tools that keep our Kingdom running. They act as a bridge between team disciplines, helping King understand and meet player needs and business needs by applying user- centered design and allowing teams to understand who they are designing for and how to deliver engaging experiences that will deliver real business impact.
Your role within our Kingdom
UI/UX Design - Studio
Our UI/UX Designers work on the effective and optimized, visually appealing user interface systems. We team up with other disciplines inside and outside of the production teams to contribute to the aesthetic appeal of the game and to design, iterate, test, implement and analyze experiences and interfaces that will delight our players. You will learn how to fuse visual aesthetics, usability, and technical implementation into an accessible tool for our players to control the game. You will also get involved in projects such as: creating UX specs for new events, wireframes, screen flows and prototypes to help understand how the event is connected with other game features and helping to create a UX library (e.g. defining design patterns and making sure they are consistent across the game).
UI/Game Art - Studio
Our UI/Game Artists create engaging and beautiful experiences for millions of players to enjoy. They bring UX flows to life with visually appealing aesthetics (think beautiful colours and shapes) and collaborate with other artists, developers and designers to create & enhance features for our game.
We are looking for creative talents who want to develop their skills in User Interface Design and Game Art for mobile games and who have the ability to create visually appealing art assets (e.g. menus, buttons, icons, animation, illustration).
Knowledge of Adobe CS and Photoshop is a must, and successful candidates will show their potential with a portfolio that demonstrates an understanding of art fundamentals (e.g. icon design, colour theory, shape language and graphic design). Join our diverse & creative team where your work will be seen by millions around the world!
Skills to create thrills
- You should have the ability to work in a flexible and fluid environment, where the job will evolve over time.
- Excellent communication skills in English and great organisation skills
- Creative problem- solving skills
- The ability to work well, both autonomously, and as part of a larger team
A great saga needs all sorts of heroes
Making games is fun. Especially when you do it with people who share the same idea of what makes a good workplace, great. We design games for everyone, no matter where they are or who they are, and we employ all sorts of people from all kinds of backgrounds to bring them to life. Truth is, we simply can’t expect diversity in our players and originality in our games without first nurturing it in our people. A great saga needs all sorts of heroes. And that’s it.
