We are looking for Energy Consultants to join us at Kiwa Energy. Based in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham. We are experts in Consultancy, Training and Testing services in the fields of fuel, energy, carbon emissions and heating appliances. Our Energy Consultants support the delivery of energy projects focused on reducing carbon emissions from the UK’s energy infrastructure, dwellings, transport, and industrial processes.

About the role
Contribute to winning and delivering technical project work and services, by conducting:
- Commercial tendering activities with detailed technical input
- Literature reviews
- Desk Studies
- Physical experimentation and test work
- Analysis of results and test data from multiple sources
- Need to be highly numerate, and a practical self-starter
- Technical report writing
- Delivering technical, economic reports and / or presentations to a variety of clients and organisations and public bodies
This will include
- Design and implementation of project strategy
- Developing analyses and recommendations for action, working closely with clients, colleagues and partners
- Taking responsibility for individual work packages utilising team resources as necessary
- Project Management to time, budget, and scope
- Client communication, internal and external technical relationship building
- Tender writing
- Maintenance of expert knowledge through peer review, attendance at relevant conferences and technical network events
- Supporting the growth of the technical business
Do you have what it takes?
- Graduate in Chemical, Electrical Engineering or other appropriate discipline
- Ability to translate energy related concepts into clear, concise reports to help resolve client queries
- Ability to manage multiple project priorities for relevant project portfolio
- Expertise and/ or knowledge in gas / energy related industries, including relevant regulatory requirements and international standards,
- Health & Safety requirements and best practice awareness
- Flexibility to travel both in the UK and internationally when required, with reasonable notice
- Full UK Driving License
Desirable, but non-essential
- Noticeable interest in the decarbonisation, renewables agenda/markets
- Understanding of the evolving Hydrogen economy
- Professional memberships, working towards or holding Chartered status
- Experience of consultancy work
- Commercial and sales expertise
- Some experience of working in TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification) industries in a development capacity
What can you expect from us in return?
- £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
