    Are you looking for an entry-level position and willing to learn on-the-job training? Then this role might just be for you. As a Trainee Lighting Technician, you will work closely with the wider team and majority of the workload will consist of travelling and working on-site. The salary for this role is £23,000 per annum, with expected earnings reaching £28,000-£30,000 with overtime and bonus allowances.

    About the Role

    The main purpose of our Trainee Lighting Technicians is carrying out inspection and testing services, mainly on street lighting for the highways industries across the UK. Your daily tasks will consist of the following components:

    • Structural inspection and testing of highway lighting columns
    • Communicating and liaison with clients and colleagues
    • Recording accurately electronic test results to a high standard for reporting
    • Working with our UKAS accredited systems
    • Data collection of highway assets
    • Corrosion investigation
    • Be the face of Kiwa CMT when on site with customers

    Do you have what it takes?

    • Hold a Full UK Valid driving licence, as you will be using company vehicles to travel and from client sites.
    • Able to learn with on-the-job training
    • Be able to work with a varied workload
    • Demonstrate an interest in the field of work
    • Experience in a similiar or cross over role is desirable but not essential
    • Training will be provided to achieve a HERS ECS card and the HEA NVQ level 2 qualification.
    • Communication is key for this role; you will be able to make an impact and work well within a team.
    • Willing to work away from home for short periods (days/nights with overtime allowance).
