    In the UK, Guardian is continually looking for talented individuals to help them continue their growth and presence in the UK. All UK manufacturing is based from the plant at Goole, East Yorkshire which has recently made significant investment in a new furnace using advanced technology and will secure glass manufacture at the site for the next 20 years. The plant is able to produce some of the most advanced and innovative energy saving architectural glass on the market today.

    As part of the maintenance engineering team, Guardian is looking for Graduate Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for the reliability and improvement of complex mechanical manufacturing assets.

    What You Will Do In Your Role

    • Work with Engineering Excellence and Operations teams to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules
    • Perform contractor analysis and selection, contractor and contract management as required
    • Supervise maintenance and engineering activities on-site to assure the implementation to be done in full respect of safety rules, respecting timeline, budget and quality requirements
    • Identify and develop improvement opportunities for safety, reliability and efficiency of plant assets and equipment
    • Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams

    The Experience You Will Bring

    Requirements

    • Degree qualified in mechanical engineering (BSc/BTEC/NVQ/HNC/HND or similar)
    • Self-Motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
    • Strong technical knowledge to design, specify, procure, install, and commission systems
    • Skilled to predict, recognise, and effectively solve problems and interferences
