    Specific Responsibilities

    As a Year in Industry Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Solutions Team. The Manufacturing Team strive to deliver the ideal solutions that deliver the best quality control and cost.

    As part of this you would be involved in identification and implementation of continuous improvement ideas. You will look at a range of projects from waste reduction to process flow improvements that will help improve the efficiency of the production process. You’ll be involved in planning, organising, directing and executing a variety of engineering activities. Some key responsibilities of the role will include:

    • Manage and own key projects to support business strategies.
    • Identification and implement continuous improvement activity to enhance operational effectiveness.
    • Work collaboratively with various engineering teams to support the introduction of new products into production.
    • Contribute the Design, development and build of new test equipment to aid assembly ensuring compliance to H&S.
    • Support the generation, review and appropriate response to key performance indicators for EHS, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People.
    • Strengthen our quality procedures and root cause actions e.g. Product Bonding, Finished Product Audit, Early Warnings, Corrective Action Reports.
    • Ensure that all standard operating procedures are up to date and outstanding actions are being addressed.

    Skills/Requirements

    You are likely to be studying towards a degree with an engineering discipline. You will need to be an excellent communicator as you will be required to work with various teams across the business to build, develop, and implement solutions. You will have an inquisitive mind looking at processes, analysing them and looking for better ways of doing things. You will have the drive and energy to “own-it” when it comes to projects and tasks to ensure they are delivered according to project KPIs including quality, cost and time.

    • An awareness and/or experience of working in lean manufacturing environments.
    • Able to identify and implement root cause fixes to complex engineering issues.
    • Be comfortable with a flexible working environment e.g. hot-desking / working from home
