Our Industrial Placements are open to university students due to undertake a year in industry as part of their course, who wish to gain valuable work experience. Over a period of one year, you will have first-hand experience in the front line of our business operations. We’re looking for students who have a passion for logistics, and want to gain real-life experience in a fast paced and complex environment. If you’re ambitious, driven, and eager to show what you can do, this is a great way to start your career in logistics.
Your role
To manage the total process for Air Logistics customers (Perishable cargo) based on their KN service requirements (customs clearance/delivery/invoicing) to the set standard whilst maintaining and developing existing customer relationships. To actively take responsibility for one’s own customers by managing GP and customer service accordingly.
Your responsibilities
- Understand to role of the Perishables team.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with our customers putting their best interest at the forefront of everything we, do delivering consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Create robust, two way, communication process.
- Participate in Team Meetings ensuring “To Do’s” are completed by the deadlines.
- Customs Entries,
- Invoicing,
- Processing AWB documentation,
- Bookings with carriers, Arrange
- Booking Collection/Delivery with customers,
- Managing customer/supplier communications,
- Ability to make low-risk decisions using the available knowledge and experience you have in the industry
- Database entry

- Currently studying for a degree qualification
- A passion for logistics
- Hardworking and committed
- Ability to work on own initiative

- A willingness to learn
- Driving licence not essential as long as candidates can reach the site by public transport
