L3Harris are seeking industrial placements who will be responsible for providing support to the global L3Harris business by joining the Business Capture Management Team, in a challenging fast-paced environment. The Business Capture team collaborates with every aspect of the business, in order to create solutions and respond to customer needs.
The Business Capture Industrial Placement will gain insight and exposure to sales, project management, finance, commercial, and marketing to name but a few of the key functions with whom interactions occur on a daily basis. Other key aspects include but not limited to, developing and authoring persuasive proposals, influencing key stakeholders, presenting to C-suite to obtain approvals.
In addition to the day-to-day activities, the Business Capture Industrial Placement will participate in internal strategic initiatives to drive change and continuous improvement. Other opportunities will be made available to the Business Capture Industrial Placement to increase their organizational awareness, such as providing support to marketing events and tradeshows on behalf of L3Harris, representing L3Harris with associations and industry bodies, etc.
Some travel may be required between UK sites.
Day to day responsibilities
- Providing support to the Business Capture and Commercial Contracts teams with the preparation of bids and proposals, including authoring responses to Request for Proposals, helping out with various contracts activities such as drafting NDAs, running reports, and various other adhoc activities
- Coordinate L3Harris functional teams to review customer requirements and ensure an accurate scope of effort for completion
- Prepare and manage handover to contract delivery with key stakeholders, such as technical teams, project management, customer support and sales account executive for successful project launch
- Coordinate customer requirements with the relevant product owners
- Support the governance process to obtain appropriate approvals in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed records of all bids and proposals, including keeping documentation up to date as required
- Support for various sales, marketing and L3Harris Professional Development Scheme (PDS) outreach activities as needed
- Maintain high ethical standards and perform duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Affinity to detail, with excellent interpersonal communication skills and writing skills
