What are we looking for?
We are looking for the next generation of talented Engineers and Mathematicians to join our Electronic Warfare & Cyber Security teams. Over the summer of 2022, we have an opportunity for a software summer placement, to join our current cohort of students. The role of the 10 week placement will be to get involved with learning about, designing and writing software to enhance our existing product portfolio.
We are looking towards the future and we will be looking for our promising Summer Placements to return as Industrial Placements or even Graduates who will continue to innovate in our business and deliver to our customers within the defence industry. As a Summer Placement Student, you will receive top quality on the job training from our Senior Engineers who will coach and develop you to progress your career.
As a summer placement student you will be responsible for
- Working with Senior Engineers to understand the product
- Undertake research, design and construction for software tasks
- Document and present your finding
- Becoming familiar with L3 TRL business, ways-of-working, and culture
What do I need to be successful?
- A minimum of 3 A-Levels with grades of A,A,B or above
- Pursuing a degree in either Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or Systems Engineering.
Whilst not essential, the following experience would be helpful
- A programming language such as C++, RUST, or Python
- Some understanding of the product lifecycle
