About the role
We are looking for a Study Coordinator to work in our environmental science team at our site in Shardlow, Derbyshire. In this role you will coordinate the activities of routine and non-routine studies for at least three business lines and will work in compliance with appropriate company standards, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and regulatory guidelines specified in the study plans governing the work in which they are involved in a timely, efficient and quality manner.
This role would suit a science graduate or someone with some industry experience in the environmental science area.
Duties include
- Drafting study plans, amendments and study schedules as appropriate using study outline or client supplied information
- Maintaining study plan and reporting templates
- Preparing study schedules based on input from Study Director (SD) / Principal Investigator (PI), placing information into databases and communicating work plan to laboratory personnel and support groups, as applicable
- In preparation for study start: Prepare COSHH form, prepare study files, finalise study plans
- Communicating and interacting with study team (Study Directors and operational staff) to ensure key milestones are achieved
- Maintaining well documented, organised and up-to-date study files including study schedule, study plan and correspondence
- Assisting in report preparation, including tables and figures. Compiling analytical information from laboratory groups, if applicable
- Performing QC on data tables and figures
- Processing of report production through finalisation, including archiving of data as appropriate
- Processing of QAU report audits with SD/PI or appropriate laboratory group. Submitting audit responses for SD/PI if applicable
- Acting as a project coordinator for assigned clients across the Environmental Sciences discipline

Education
BSc in related subject. Experience may be substituted for education
Skills and experience
- Environmental science background or strong interest in this area
- Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
- GLP knowledge and/or experience advantageous
