We have an opportunity for a legal support assistant to join our Private Client Department based in Ludlow. You will be working in a small team within our progressive and forward thinking firm and you will assist lawyers by providing a range of administrative support.
The role will include some secretarial support including the typing of correspondence using digital dictation systems, communicating with existing and potential clients along with working under supervision on various aspects of a file, including preparation of files and documents and attending clients to deal with queries or updates. You will be responsible for all areas of administration, including time recording on client matters and ensuring time is billed where applicable.
The post holder is expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative and to maintain a highly professional, efficient, confidential and friendly service ensuring quality service to clients is always achieved. The role would suit someone who has worked in a busy and professional team orientated environment. Previous legal experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given for the right applicant.
Good organisational and time management skills, with a high attention to detail along with confidence in the use of Microsoft Word and the ability to work across a range of IT platforms will be required.
