    About the role

    The Staff Diversity & Inclusion Intern is an integral part of Latham’s Attorney Development Global Diversity Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for working with the Senior Managers of Staff Diversity & Inclusion, the Director of Staff Diversity & Inclusion, and the Manager of Staff Diversity & Inclusion – Affinity Groups to support various projects related to the firm’s internal diversity, equity and inclusion (“DEI”) efforts, while assisting with logistics and research for guest speakers, drafting invites and announcements, coordinating with any external vendors, tracking attendance, and collecting feedback from participants. This role will be located in our Manchester or London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

    Responsibilities & qualifications

    Other key responsibilities include

    • Assisting with internal and external communications for Professional Staff D&I initiatives, including newsletters and general communications
    • Producing industry research in areas including but not limited to, DEI surveys and award submissions, industry trends, and topic-specific research, attending webinars, conferences, and meetings as needed
    • Assisting with the logistics and preparation of materials for PSD&I presentations and meetings; helping to coordinate travel, conference services, and technology details
    • Being provided with an opportunity to network and learn from various firm departments and committees to implement PSD&I initiatives, including Brand & Communications, Career Navigator, Health & Well-Being, Business Development, Global Business Operations, Human Resources, Talent Management, and Technology
    • Assisting with special projects and supporting general administrative responsibilities as needed

    We’d love to hear from you if you

    • Possess the ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus
    • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and general research experience
    • Display strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    And have

    • Expereince with PC applications, including MS Office, as well as a general knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint desired
