We are looking for a News Reporter to join Global Competition Review (GCR) in our London or Manchester office.

GCR is a world-leading antitrust news service, trusted by major government agencies and the wider legal industry to provide timely insight on key enforcement and policy developments.

Our UK-based reporters work with colleagues in Brussels, Hong Kong and the US to produce exclusive stories that move the needle for our global audience. You’ll be part of a talented team that contributes to one of our two daily news alert emails, covering international competition enforcement, litigation and policy developments. You’ll gain access to leading decision-makers in private practice and government while progressing on-diary and off-diary stories. Often what we write about is covered by the mainstream press – meaning we have to dig deeper and ask the questions other experts haven’t yet thought to ask. You will report from UK courtrooms and legal conferences, the latter of which provides substantial opportunities for international travel.

This is a unique opportunity to develop as a reporter. You'll cover a highly specialist beat that is becoming increasingly relevant to some of the world’s most important policy debates while honing your skills in a collegiate environment that celebrates success.

GCR reporters carve out successful, rewarding careers at the company and across the industry. Our journalists have plenty of opportunities to progress within the team and take on additional responsibility, often choosing to stay at the company for several years as they advance to senior correspondent and editor roles. Former reporters have also gone on to work for The Independent, The Guardian, Mail Online and The Daily Telegraph.
