Please note this is a rotational programme (Cardiff, Hove and London) with the first rotation starting in Cardiff.

What you'll be doing
Accounting is central to ensuring a profitable, well run insurance business and your work will support the success of a FTSE 100 company. Our Accounting teams work throughout the Group functions including Tax, Treasury, Financial Reporting, Risk Analytics and Expense and Ledger Management.
You’ll rotate annually over the three years into different business areas and office locations, developing your professional network and expanding on your quantitative and qualitative skills whilst you study towards a professional qualification. Your first rotation will be in Cardiff, followed by one of our other central hub locations- either London or Hove.
Our Graduate Programme has been designed to give you the fundamental experience and skill set to excel at Legal and General. You’ll join with a cohort of graduates and take part in our thoughtfully designed Legal and General Induction, providing you with insights about our business and helping you connect with your new peers to grow your professional network.
In this role, you will join us on a full-time permanent basis and receive on the job training and coaching from your line manager and team to help you expand on both your business acumen and quantitative and qualitative skills. Alongside this you’ll study for an industry recognised Professional Qualification. Combined, these will fully equip you to be successful in your role, with the knowledge and skills required to apply to real world business challenges.
By the end of the programme you will have built a clear picture of where your interests and experience can take you within Legal and General, beyond the Graduate Scheme.
What we're looking for
We are looking for people with an inquisitive mind and a desire to learn. We’re not expecting prior industry experience, but we’ll want to see that you have the tools to develop quickly. These include:
- 2.1 degree in a numerate subject; if you are applying from a non-numerate subject, an A level in Maths in essential.
- Strong analytical skills and a high level of numeracy
- Someone flexible who is also a team-player
- Great communication skills
- A highly organised individual, who has the ability to prioritise effectively

About the business area
Our rotational programme means that you could be working in any of our divisions which include Group, Legal & General Insurance (LGI), Legal & General Retirement Institutional (LGRI) and Legal & General Retail Retirement (LGRR).This also means moving to different office locations for each rotation too; you will have placements in both our main offices, which are Hove and London. If your first rotation is in London, your second will be Hove and you will continue to rotate until you complete your qualification.
