The National Institute for Health and Care Research's Central Commissioning Facility manages a number of research funding programmes on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care with a total annual value in excess of £550 million.
The RfPB programme provides funding for high quality health and social care research in the NHS in England, and allocates funding on a regional basis, for project grants of up to £350,000 and 36 months in duration. The team currently manages a portfolio of over 900 projects and delivers three funding competition cycles per year.
The NIHR Intellectual Property Unit services these funding programmes providing specialist support, advising on a range of contractual, intellectual property and commercial matters.
The work placement provides a unique opportunity gain experience in understanding and advising on a range of contractual issues whilst helping to shape the future of healthcare, social care and public health. The post is based in Twickenham and provides the opportunity for internal collaboration with staff as well as exciting external liaison, with interfaces to UK Government, academia, industry and the clinical community.
Occasional travel to other NIHR centres and locations may be required.

Education
- Relevant degree e.g. biomedical, health, legal, business or life sciences (Essential)
