Our world-leading software and database systems are used globally in sectors such as pharmaceutical, cosmetics, chemical and agrochemical for the prediction of toxicity, metabolism and degradation. Our continued success means that we are now seeking additional people to work with us in our prestigious head office in the heart of Leeds.

    Location: Lhasa Limited, Granary Wharf House, 2 Canal Wharf, Leeds LS11 5PS. We support hybrid working, with a typical week involving 2 days in the office.

    What is the role?

    We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Science team with a view to helping us collect data on the degradation of drugs (and other chemicals).

    You will work with a small team of technical experts to enter degradation reactions and associated experimental details reported in publications into a database using chemical structure drawing and text entry tools, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.

    Who are we looking for?

    A recent graduate (BSc or Masters) or someone with relevant scientific experience. You will have a good understanding of chemical structure and organic reactions, including experience of representing them in chemical drawing software such as ChemDraw.

    You will possess a strong ability to interpret and digest scientific publications, experience with reference management software would also be advantageous. Knowledge of, or an interest in learning about, the degradation of chemicals would also be advantageous.

    You will be comfortable working independently and capable of organising diverse information into a consistent standard format. You will be highly motivated, conscientious and have excellent attention to detail.
