Financial Accountant: 1st time mover opportunity

What to expect
As a first-move role, you can expect to join other newly qualified accountants at the same time, supported by an enhanced induction and development curriculum designed to accelerate your understanding of our business and the Finance organisation. You’ll have the opportunity to meet senior leaders and will have a senior sponsor acting as a mentor through our dynamic mentoring circles. You’ll also be supported to learn about our business and develop your Finance skills across a range of interactive learning modules and development initiatives through our world-class Finance Academy.
At Liberty Global we are committed to developing talented people to move onwards and upwards through our organization. After your first 12-months, you could find yourself rotating into another part of Finance or another location. In whatever role you see your future, our first-mover programme has been designed to give you end-to-end exposure across our entire business. Ultimately, this is about shaping our future and yours. What we look for
We are looking newly qualified accountants who have a growth mindset, who are curious, resilient, collaborative, highly analytical and confident enough to question the status quo. We’re also interested in your passion for business, your love of being challenged and your desire to develop your technical skills.
- A professional accountancy qualification is essential. ACA, CIMA or ACCA
- Applicants making a first move from practice looking to move into a high-growth, fast-paced business.
What teams could you be joining?
- Audit, Risk & Compliance (ARC): The ARC team offers an opportunity to work with and travel to each of the Liberty Global companies, seeing and interacting across a wide variety of different business areas and countries. You will gain an understanding of how many of our businesses operate and have opportunities to interact with senior leaders. We are focused on developing internal audit team members through both formal and on the job training, with a view to creating a diverse, well rounded auditor who understands our business and can use internal audit as a stepping stone to broader opportunities within our Finance function and beyond. There is no better place to start your career at Liberty Global than the ARC team. We’ll give you the experience, skills and understanding of the business that will act as a stepping stone to broader opportunities within our Finance function and beyond. If you want to travel, understand and improve processes, get to grips with key business risks and further your finance experience then look no further. On top of that we’ll give you exposure to senior leaders, project management, data analytics and business writing experience. - Accounting Operations (Bradford): Liberty Global Shared Service Centre (LGSSC) acts as a central specialty service supporting operations many of our Liberty Global companies. As part of this team you will be responsible for the development and implementation of overall financial strategy; from day to day controls, accounting policies and procedures; to managing relationships with the financial community. Interacting with our colleagues across Amsterdam, Denver, Switzerland and beyond this is an international role and you will many opportunities to expand your network across the wider Liberty Global family.
