Use your passion for maths and problem solving to train as an actuary in our Scottish Widows insurance business where our graduates make a real difference, in a fast-changing industry, to the lives of our customers at times when they most need our help.

Duration
Typically six to seven years to complete the actuarial exams, but may be as low as three years depending on your exam performance and exemptions.

Our graduates:
- Work through several 12–24-month rotations with different teams across the business, such as business strategy, reporting, pricing, modelling and asset liability management
- Enjoy being part of a vibrant and sociable actuarial student community
- Are able to ask colleagues a lot of questions and learn on the job, every day; and
- Become well-versed in explaining complex number-sets through clear and concise stories, sometimes using data visualisation tools.

What you need to apply
- An expected 2:2 degree or higher
- A clear understanding of what an actuary does and a strong desire to become one
- A passion for problem solving and a natural ability for logical thinking
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in the office and from home
- An ability to consistently hit challenging deadlines
