    The role

    Are you a talented communicator with a flair for compelling and creative writing? Join us as a Junior Speechwriter at Lloyd’s and play a vital role in shaping our narrative and driving excellent external communications.

    Key Responsibilities

    As a Junior Speechwriter, you’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership to create powerful speeches and written communications that resonate with external audiences.

    Your role will encompass:

    • Strategic Content: Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Speeches & Editorial on speaking opportunities, major events, and strategic topics to deliver content with gravitas and authority.
    • Compelling Speeches: Draft compelling speeches for Lloyd’s leaders that encapsulate Lloyd’s purpose and strategic goals.
    • Diverse Communication: Craft articles, op-eds, quotes, letters and report forewords to reinforce Lloyd’s narrative on various platforms.
    • Personalised Messages: Draft editorial content to capture a range of voices, styles and ideas from Lloyd’s leaders, ensuring consistency and alignment with the organization’s values.
    • Incisive Briefing: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide insightful research, briefings, and counsel that can give our leaders the cutting edge in their communications.
    • Engaging Narratives: Support the research, drafting, and editing of research reports and content contributing to Lloyd’s thought leadership.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Copywriting Flair: Showcase excellent copywriting skills in translating complex information into compelling content.
    • Creative Insight: Exhibit an original and creative mindset, capable of shaping Lloyd’s perspective on various issues and creating engaging narratives.
    • Accuracy Focus: Demonstrate meticulous attention to accuracy while crafting content for senior leaders.
