We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our team to support our large transformation programme, leveraging the latest technologies to become a data driven organisation.
This role would be ideal for a recent or experienced graduate who is looking for an exciting opportunity to further grow their skills and experience within software engineering.
Role Overview
You will work in a team of Engineers to develop products and technology that will serve the needs of our business and customers, for example:
- Developing features and capabilities for end users, either external customers or internal employees.
- Build integrations between a mixture of in-house developed and off the shelf systems, as well as our new Data Platform.
- Building online interactive systems for our customers to check their tenancy information, rent payments, log repairs jobs etc.
Depending on the projects you work on, there will be opportunities to acquire skills in Azure Functions & Logic Apps, Angular & React, Node JS (NPM), Typescript, Sitecore (an industry standard CMS), Sharepoint & SPFx, Microsoft D365 & Power Platform and Azure DevOps & Git for CI/CD.
We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated and are passionate about learning and improving code to deliver great value to the business.
Responsibilities
- Work within an agile engineering squad to design, develop and maintain robust and reliable solutions, to defined IT requirements in line with departmental standards and procedures
- Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages primarily using C#
- Participate in common agile ceremonies (estimations, backlog prioritisation, show & tell, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.)
- Keep up to date with and exploit opportunities to use the latest technologies
Requirements
You may be a good fit if you have the following experience & skills:
- ASP .NET MVC, C#, HTML/CSS, Sass, JavaScript, JQuery
- Relational Databases (e,g MS SQL, TSQL, Stored Procedures)
- Problem solving, analytical and debugging skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with ORM technologies (e.g. EF, dapper, etc.), knowledge of TDD & BDD practices and/or experience in Agile / Scrum principles is desirable.

- Salary: Circa £32-45k pa depending on experience and location
