We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Application Support Analyst to join L&Q at a very exciting time where we will invest, grow, and transform our business to provide a better service to customers old and new. To support this, our Business Applications team is implementing a new Target Operating Model and is being restructured to support this journey, this role forms part of that process.
This is an entry role providing support to our team of Application Support Analysts, who’s role is to ensure that L&Q’s portfolio of applications are supported, performant and always meet the business needs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong tenacity for problem solving and be passionate about learning and developing their skills. This role will involve working in a highly collaborative environment, so being both technically minded and personable will help build close working relationships with key stakeholders.
L&Q is a large dynamic organisation with ambitious plans. Each support team will be responsible for a portfolio of up to 50 applications. Therefore, excellent communications skills, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise are key!
Responsibilities
- Providing second line support for applications within the portfolio and working with suppliers and/or in house squads for 3rd line and other support and maintenance tasks.
- Supporting Application Support Analysts working with suppliers to manage and resolve 3rd line incidents and monitor supplier delivery against SLA
- Monitoring supplier release and upgrade schedules and ensuring that these are scheduled and rolled out so that applications are always on supported versions and platforms. Working with all teams to make sure there are no conflicts
- Maintaining a register of contracts and end dates and ensures that renewals and procurements are flagged in plenty of time
What you will be involved with
- Supporting the Applications Support Analyst to manage the application lifecycle, ensuring that applications continue to meet business needs
- Supporting the Applications Support Analyst in Internal and external Service Reviews
- Builds knowledge of individual applications and of application Support Taking ownership of priority incidents ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner
- Building relationships with Business Stakeholders and Suppliers.
Skills and experience
- IT literate with an interest in technology. At home with complex issues and a willingness to learn and develop new news skills
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Operating environment systems and tools.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Good problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to advise, and inform in a consultative manner
- Good organisational skills, including the prioritisation of workload able to work under pressure

We are a multi-site organisation, so some roles may require occasional travel between offices, but expenses will be covered.
