    At Morrison Telecom Services, we are currently looking for a Support Analyst to be based in our Dartford office. As part of this role, you will be expected to attend other sites, therefore having a Full UK License is a requirement.

    The role as a Support Analyst will provide valuable support to the Intelligent Solutions (IS) team.

    The role

    The IS team delivers continuous improvement and change management services across Morrison Telecom Services (MTS) and the wider Telecom division within M Group Services including Magdalene and Avonline Networks.

    The overall objective of the IS team is to improve operational and commercial performance through the optimisation of processes and the intelligent use of appropriate IT systems within this division.

    Part of the Support Analyst’s role will be to efficiently manage and administer user licenses for the key MTS systems. Initially, the Support Analyst will also support existing Business Analysts to deliver change projects and programmes.

    The role will be exposed to all aspects of the business, providing great experience and a deep understanding of how a successful private sector business operates. The opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled Support Analyst will be to take responsibility for change projects of their own and develop into an experienced Business Analyst or Project Manager.

    The role can be summarised as follows:

    • Carry out system administration of licences relating to the core Work Management Systems, Mobile and Reporting Applications (new users, amendments and leavers)
    • Provide pro-active management of user licences to maximise efficient utilisation so that, for example, the business never has to pay for unused licences
    • Work closely with local operational and commercial teams to establish and maintain the optimum licencing models
    • Ensure compliance with Information Security policies by managing access to data via users’ system access profiles
    • Liaising with in-house and sub-contract IT providers as required, provide appropriate user support to business users using our Work Management Systems, Mobile and Reporting Applications
    • Support IT Trainers in developing proof-of-concepts, use cases and the roll-out of future technologies and upgrades to Microsoft Applications
    • Identify opportunities to improve service, quality, safety and/or reduce costs through developing existing or introducing new systems and processes
    • Assist with trials and demonstrations of new technologies and innovations
    • Provide analysis and business support to assist in commercial and operational decision-making, including design and production of reports as required
    • Process mapping of existing business processes and working with key operational personnel to identify opportunities for improvement
    • Promote the consistent use of MUS systems and processes
    • Provide support to field-based teams, on site, if necessary, to maximise the use of MUS mobile solutions
    • Assist with contract bids and tenders; identify and recommend processes and systems required to meet Company and contractual requirements.
    • Identify, initiate, and implement best working practices and contractual commonality throughout the company
    • Liaise with construction managers, in-house and sub-contract suppliers IT providers to develop current systems, processes, and IT solutions.
    • Actively support standardisation and corporate efficiency improvements; share knowledge and experience with colleagues and evangelise the benefits of consistent use of processes and systems
    • Attend client meetings as part of a team to represent the company, where systems and processes are to be discussed.
    • Where system development is deemed necessary, support the production of system specifications to the agreed format and ensure correct testing and training are completed

    • Highly numerate and literate, with excellent written and oral communication skills
    • A self-motivated and highly professional team player with a flexible, yet structured approach; also, able to work on own initiative
    • A self-starter of graduate calibre
    • Logical approach to problem-solving
    • Experience of using and developing IT systems, and able to explain technical points in easy-to-understand terms
    • Commercial awareness of current technologies and IT methodologies
    • Strong IT skills. Proficient in MS Office applications; experience of MS Visio and MS Project is desirable
    • Ability to produce quality documentation, which is precise and concise in content.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to, and work with colleagues, clients and suppliers at all different levels of the business hierarchy.
