The Role
Macintyre has an exciting role for a Graduate to get a wide exposure to all areas of a fast-paced IT assistant role within our Head Office in Central Milton Keynes. We know this may be your first position in a corporate setting, full training, guidance and support will be provided by our IT team at MacIntyre.
You'll work closely with other central support teams, such as the Data Protection Manager, Health and Safety Manager and Finance answering and resolving a wide variety of queries.
As a Trainee IT Support Assistant no two days are the same, you will be learning your profession from people with a great deal of experience and expertise.
Reporting to the IT Manager, you will work as part of a small IT Team and gain experience across a wide range of IT solutions deployed across the organisation. The IT Team provide support to over 2000 users across the country and maintain the infrastructure and IT equipment in house.
Our core infrastructure is built around Microsoft architecture and any experience in managing Active Directory or Azure/365/Teams would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide IT Support to staff across MacIntyre using a range of support tools including our dedicated helpdesk, instant chat, remote control and telephone. This could involve:-
- Assisting users with accessing systems
- Support for MS Office
- User Account maintenance: creation/modification/disabling/password reset
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues such as broadband and WIFI
- Escalating faults to third parties
- Installing software
- Printing Issues
- Assist in installation of IT equipment
- New site setups
- Relocations
- Replacement equipment such as PCs, printers, routers.
- Configuration and issue of new equipment such as laptops
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week.
