    Airport Development is the ward of Paul Willis, Chief Development Officer. Paul’s remit is far and wide, including Strategic Airport Planning (Capacity Planning, Surface Access, Insights & Analysis), Asset Management, Capital Delivery (Project Delivery), Procurement and Property.

    Terry Fitzmaurice, our Group Procurement & Contracts Director, will oversee the success of all of the Airport Development Graduate Programmes. As part of Paul’s leadership team, Terry and Matthew Baines, Delivery Director for Airfield and Airport, have scheduled key placements that will best support your development.

    About the opportunity

    Our aim is that you develop the skills to become a great Project Manager within our Capital Delivery team. That said, if you discover a passion along the way, we’ll fully support you. We’re confident you will finish the three-year Programme with a breadth of knowledge that spans across the business and a range of management skills that will stand you in good stead for the rest of your career.

    You’ll have access to a wide range of professional development programmes plus both formal and informal learning. To provide a tailored experience, we will work with you to identify the most beneficial qualification to supplement the knowledge you will gain through your planned rotations.

    Over three years, you will

    • Complete a thorough induction programme which includes trips to each of our airports.
    • Rotate through various business areas including Procurement, Airport Transformation, Project Delivery and Capacity Planning,

    Most importantly, we’re looking for someone that can connect with people at all levels in the organisation and is unafraid to push for our daring ambitions in aviation.

    • As a critical thinker, you’ll quickly establish where we excel, as well as where we can improve. You’ll be capable of reacting quickly to varying demands as they arise, from commercial goals to operational issues.
    • We think this Programme is suited to candidates with a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics background, including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Business, Project Management etc.
    • Lastly, to meet our security clearance requirements, you should have lived in the UK for the last three years.
