Together, we are the Journey Makers.
We are on a mission to connect people with the world. Across MAG airports, our friendly, passionate teams are busy making journeys smoother, safer and more sustainable for our customers and communities.
Join us to start your career journey at MAG and experience a Graduate Programme which empowers your growth every day. We will embed you into core elements of our organisation, connect you with mentors and peers, and enable you to help shape our future and the journeys of our customers. We are the Journey Makers. Become one too.
You will be sponsored by Kate Rawlings-Brown, our Digital Transformation Director. Kate is just one of the many great people that work for Nick Woods, our CIO, but you'll learn that for yourself when you get here. If you love finding answers and solutions to problems and are interested in interlacing the technical and business workings of a company, then this is the Programme for you.
About the opportunity
Your focus will be on creating the overall technical vision that enables us to deliver a specific solution to a business problem. You will examine the current systems architecture and work with business and technical staff to recommend solutions that result in more effective systems. You might be looking at how we can make our check-in process more efficient, for example, or helping us to deliver next generation technology capability in our security halls.
To sustain the transformation, you’ll need to be capable of managing relationships with a variety of audiences across our organisation, where priorities and understanding may vary. To provide a tailored experience, we will work with you to identify the most beneficial qualification to supplement the knowledge you will gain through your planned rotations.
Over three years, you will
- Complete a thorough induction programme which includes trips to each of our airports.
- Rotate through our different Technology business areas, Technology Planning, Cyber Security, Group Architecture, Airport Technology Architecture and Enterprise Architecture.
Who we’re looking for?
We’re looking for applicants that can connect with people at all levels in the organisation, absorb information, interpret it to understand the impact, and then draw conclusions with conviction.
- You will be an excellent problem solver and have the ability to analyse and overcome business problems in a methodical and rational way.
- You’ll also need to have the right to live and work in the UK; to meet our security clearance requirements, you should have lived in the UK for the last three years.
- There is no single path to becoming a Solutions Architect so we’re hiring based on skills and behaviours; you can apply for this scheme with any degree classification in any discipline.
About Manchester Airports Group (MAG)
We are a major UK airport group. We own and operate Manchester, London Stansted, and East Midlands airports. We are also excited to have recently launched CAVU, our new global distribution agency. We have continued to invest in our infrastructure and people, paving the way for strong growth in the future.
We are always on the lookout for new ways we can add value for customers as they travel. That curiosity and innovation is what has led us to develop new products throughout the airport experience, such as airport hospitality, car parking and digital booking engines – and to deploy these not only at our three airports but around the world. Our people feel proud of the work they do to make our airports successful and the growth they bring to the surrounding communities and regions. Our Graduate Programmes give you the opportunity to take on real work with a real impact, and to benefit from world-class training.
What can we offer in return?
Great benefits as you would expect from a business the size of MAG – in the shape of a generous salary and benefits package including 6% company contribution pension, 24 days holidays plus bank holidays, free parking, subsidised public transport, salary sacrifice options and a huge range of discounts with major high-street retailers.
