    We have an exciting opportunity for an Graduate Assistant Asset Manager to join the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer! Are you a highly organised and not phased by managing multiple tasks?     The role

    Within this role you will be assisting the Asset Managers and working closely with the Majestic stores across the UK to ensure the properties are meeting company standards. You will liaise closely with various stakeholders both internal and external to progress lease events and ensure that properties are compliant. Alongside this, you will liaise with the wider Majestic teams to deliver strategic objectives against all other related property matters.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsibility for managing 2 Regions within the Majestic portfolio, with support and oversight from Asset Manager and Head of Asset Management
    • Effectively manage the Property Portfolio to deliver rent reductions and enhance profitability of assets for the 2 nominated Regions you will be accountable for
    • Liaising directly with landlords and/or agents to achieve the best possible results for Majestic
    • Act as a first point of contact on day to day property management issues as they arise
    • Conducting site visits where required to check on property management aspects of the estate or building
    • Working with the facilities team to ensure lease and statutory compliance and to escalate (both internally and externally), monitor and report on property maintenance and repairs
    • Monitoring health and safety risks and escalating where identified
    • Management of incoming service charges and confirming liability in accordance with lease terms
    • Liaising with external advisors on business rates issues and maintaining internal records
    • Maintaining records for audit and register and monitor all insurance claims
    • Monitoring and reporting of compliance requirements and documentation
    • Supporting the Assets team on wider property related projects
    • Ensure all Majestic properties are meeting company standards
    • Liaise with the wider Majestic teams to deliver strategic objectives
    • Day to day office administration - to include approving service charges, insurance costs etc

    Knowledge & Skills Required

    • Minimum 2.1 graduate with a degree in MSc Real Estate or BSc Biological Sciences, Mathematics or Economic
    • A good understanding of commercial property management and applicable law including landlord and tenant (desirable but not essential)
    • Experience of working with external advisors to ensure that they are achieving the best possible outcomes (desirable but not essential)
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Ability to work well as part of a team
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be able to communicate with colleagues at all levels
    • Strong organisational skills are required
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to multi-task and prioritise workload
    • A full UK driving licence is essential
