Concept Life Sciences is a Malvern Panalytical Brand, our team of over 250+ scientists are known for providing ‘contract research services’ which means we design and perform research experiments to solve our client’s problems and help them deliver the products of the future.
We focus on our customers and are proud of the difference our contributions make. We partner with some of the biggest and most innovative scientific companies in the world.
Where you’ll work
This will depend on where your expertise and studies sit. We have openings for undergraduates to join each of the following locations:
- Biology Services in Edinburgh - You will join our immunology and neuroscience experts at the BioQuarter in Edinburgh, a hub for medical research and life sciences innovation. You will benefit from the shared onsite facilities within the scientific community in Scotland’s capital.
- Chemistry Services in Chapel-en-le-Frith (Derbyshire) and Sandwich (Kent) - Our synthetic and medicinal chemists are based in two locations, and we are looking to recruit in both. You will either be based near the hills of the Peak District, joining our team of Chemists with on-site facilities in newly renovated laboratories. Or you will join our team in Kent at the Discovery Park, a hub for science which benefits from shared space and facilities in a vibrant scientific community.
- Analytical Services in Bradford - Our Analytical Services team provide a wide range of Analytical solutions from our site based centrally in Bradford. Being one of our smaller sites, you will benefit from working closely with our expert scientists who are big on collaboration and making science fun.
Some of the things you’ll be doing
As an undergraduate in Biology, Chemistry or Analytical, you will join our team of Scientists who will support you to develop your problem-solving skills and give you your first experience of doing true scientific research.
You will be making and/or testing prototype medicines and new products for the very first time. Or even looking to understand the biological mechanisms behind diseases such as cancer, multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune disorders.
We encourage one another’s dreams and goals and together we celebrate success. During the placement you will be part of a development team and help with the ongoing development work, in addition to this you will be assigned an individual project to be completed over the year with us.
